An explosive start for the Owls and one mercy ruling later, Citrus took down Allan Hancock, 11-3, on March 28.

The energy ran high after the win on March 27 against Long Beach City College(3-0) and the Owls never had any doubt they were going to lose.

“I knew we were going to come out and play to our fullest potential,” Citrus Owl Madelyn Hajj said.

Hajj hit a three-run home run in the bottom of the first inning.

Citrus Owls Rylee Praytor and Alivia Martinez each recorded an RBI single, with Sofia Femath recording  an RBI double.

Citrus Owl Breanna Aguilar recorded a bases-loaded walk.

Citrus Owls Jaelynn Eaves, Femath and Praytor each recorded a double.

Never one to stay still, Citrus Owl Alivia Martinez stole three bases.

Allan Hancock was cold at plate, being shut-out until the final fifth inning, where they earned three runs.

To switch things up, Citrus brought in three different pitchers during the game, starting with Caitlin Kelley, then Camilia Abundis and Serena Rodriguez.

Encouraging words were always beating traded on the pitch, and the energy throughout the game stayed strong.

“It keeps everyone on their toes, keeps them alert and lets them know what’s going on,” Eaves said.

Citrus is set to have their seventh conference game of the season against Canyons.

Having won against the Canyons on March 3(12-4) the Owls are ready to play.
