Citrus’ superintendent/president welcomes students back for the spring semester

Welcome to the start of the spring 2025 semester at Citrus College! This is a time of fresh opportunities and endless possibilities. As you embark on this new chapter, know that our campus community is committed to providing you with the resources you need to succeed in the weeks ahead.

As a community college graduate myself, I understand that pursuing your goals can be challenging. It is normal to feel anxious or uncertain at times. The fact that you are here, working to fulfill your academic dreams, is a testament to your dedication, perseverance and ambition. We are honored that you have chosen Citrus College as your partner on this journey, and we will do all we can to encourage you every step of the way.

From academic support to basic needs, Citrus College offers a variety of resources to help you overcome any obstacle you may encounter this semester. For example, the Citrus College food pantry, located inside the Campus Center, has nonperishable food items and toiletries available for all students. In addition, the Student Support Grant, which you can apply for once every academic year, helps with expenses that would otherwise prevent you from successfully completing your courses.

The Student Wellness Center is another great campus resource. Located in the Student Services Building, it offers a variety of health care services to currently enrolled students who have paid the student health fee. If you are interested in scheduling a medical or mental health appointment, stop by SS 147 or call 626-914-8671.

Other valuable resources include financial aid, the Career/Transfer Center, student employment services, the Pride Center, tutoring and so much more. We also offer a wide range of academic programs and extracurricular activities that are designed to help you grow, learn and thrive.

As the semester progresses, I encourage you to stay connected by checking your student email on a regular basis, downloading the CitrusMobile and Guardian apps, and following us on social media. I also suggest that you get to know your classmates, become involved on campus and make the most of your time at Citrus College.

Remember: You don’t have to do this alone! Our dedicated faculty and staff are eager to assist you every step of the way. We believe in you and know you can achieve great things. Our goal as a campus community is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where you can pursue your passions, explore your interests and reach your full potential.

Thank you for choosing Citrus College! I look forward to seeing you around campus and hope you have a terrific spring semester.

Sincerely,

Dr. Greg Schulz
Superintendent/President
