Study Abroad headed to Prague and London this summer and fall

Citrus’ study abroad program will be headed to Prague this coming summer and then London this fall.

The trip to Prague will take place from July 5 to Aug. 4 and the trip to London will take place from Sept 5. to Nov. 29. Students going on these trips have lots to look forward to.

In Prague, students will visit a national park, explore classical music and even take a day trip to Germany.

In London, students will visit Big Ben, the West End Theatre, Shakespeare’s childhood home and the Tower of London. Students will also see a play by the Royal Shakespeare Company at the London Globe Theatre.

The final Prague informational meeting will take place at 5 p.m. March 27 in CI 159 and over Zoom.

The next London informational meeting will take place at 5 p.m. April 3 over Zoom.

If unable to make it to the meetings, students can send an email to studyabroad@citruscollege.edu to request a recording.

John Morris, Citrus College’s study abroad specialist, said he wants students to consider studying abroad.

“I would encourage students to look into Prague, it’s one of the most beautiful cities in Europe,” he said. “London is one of the world’s most culturally significant cities.”

Business professor Patrick Borja will be conducting HUM 120: British Civilization, BUS 130: Introduction to Business and ACCT 101: Financial Accounting classes in London.

“I’m excited to be returning to London with the Study Abroad program,” he said in an email. “I’m looking forward to providing a unique opportunity to our students to learn about business, finance and accounting in one of the world’s top financial center.”

“I’m excited about the opportunity to help make this study abroad experience meaningful and memorable for our students.”

This trip will give students the chance to experience living on their own in another country and immersing themselves in the culture. In addition to visiting the scheduled sites in the cities, they will also have the chance to explore on their own time.

“It’s a unique experience, they can do it,” Morris said. “Study abroad can boost students’ confidence and independence.”
