Dear Students,
On behalf of the entire campus community, I want to thank you for choosing Citrus College. We are so excited that you are here, and we cannot wait to support you on your academic journey. As we begin the spring 2024 semester, I wanted to take a moment to highlight some of our most important student resources.
Resources for Students
Citrus College is committed to ensuring students have access to food resources and personal care products. Located inside the Campus Center, the Citrus College Food Pantry provides nonperishable food items and toiletries Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Additionally, in partnership with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, Citrus College hosts a mobile food pantry on the first Monday of each month. During these events, students can pick up fresh food items, including bread, meat and fruit. Citrus College also has grocery gift cards available on a first-come, first-served basis for students experiencing food insecurity. To learn more about these resources, please visit the Virtual Welcome Center on our homepage and click the “Basic Needs Insecurities Resources” link.
Student Wellness Center
Located in the Student Services Building, the Student Wellness Center offers a variety of health care services to currently enrolled students who have paid the student health fee. Led by an incredible team of friendly staff, the Student Wellness Center offers both in-person and virtual medical and mental health appointments. To set up an appointment, stop by the SS 147 or call 626-914-8671.
Student Support Grants
Citrus College also offers assistance to students who have unmet financial need or special circumstances with financial aid. Student support grants, which can be awarded once a year for up to $500, are for students who encounter unforeseen situations that jeopardize their ability to complete their program of study. Food Services
The spring semester will feature expanded food options on campus. A campus communication about available food items will be sent in a separate email to all students. There are also snacks and drinks available for purchase at the Art & Coffee Bar, Golf Range Pro Shop, and the Owl Bookshop, as well as vending machines located throughout campus.
Upcoming Events
I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to my next open office hour – in-person or via Zoom – on Monday, Feb. 26, at 10 a.m. To reserve a specific meeting time, please contact Raquel Perez at raperez@citruscollege.edu.
I also encourage all students to attend “Club Rush” on March 12 and March 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Campus Center Mall. This is a great opportunity for you to learn about the many student clubs on campus.
Once again, I want to thank you for choosing Citrus College. I wish you much success this spring!
Sincerely,
Greg Schulz, Ed.D.
