Citrus Cosmetology reopened for appointments after they stopped taking clients due to COVID-19.
The program helps students understand cosmetology and how the program works so they can get their license.
Citrus Cosmetology has different services that students and others can enjoy, such as getting their hair colored, haircuts, makeup, facials and nails.
Rhonda Norris, the admission clerk of Cosmetology whose role includes helping students with their units/credits and abilities to be licensed, said Citrus College Cosmetology had to make some changes this semester.
Norris said former clients have been waiting for Cosmetology to open up and take people.
She said Citrus College Cosmetology changed some information people need to know about the program and how to get in for haircuts, nails, facials, and many more.
“Cosmetology does not do walk-ins anymore,” Norris said. “They only do online/call appointments.”
Norris said the outbreak of COVID-19 caused a scare for students and clients. Therefore, people will need to make appointments.
Norris said last semester was difficult for professors, students, and clients. She said former clients keep asking when they will finally open, and they have finally opened,
“Former clients couldn’t be happier,” Norris said.
Citrus College Cosmetology has been booked since July 12. Citrus Cosmetology is still taking appointments because students need to practice to get their board hours to get their licenses.
“Cosmetology gets old and new clients through students’ families and friends, which led to its growth,” Norris said.
