Need help with a major? Go to a Career Counselor

Career counselors can help with different kinds of majors; career counselors will help change and manage students to fill all their achievements as directly. Students can be nervous to make an appointment, however, coming to a career counselor can actually help students transfer soon and even help students pick or change majors.

Natalie Desimone has been working at Citrus College for 13 years.

“I enjoy my job at Citrus College and love being a student career counselor,” she said.

She said she enjoys pursuing one-on-one conversation with students about picking their major, helping them help out to achieve their goals and helping them transfer.

Desimone has a way with students to help each student as much as possible.

She also enjoys her job because she is a career counselor, and she teaches classes at Citrus College. With her career classes and having appointments with students, she wants to be straightforward with them and encourage them to pursue their majors.

“I tell them what they can do to transfer and help them grow, such as figuring out their major, helping them with their GPA, and helping them see what classes they are capable of,” Desimone said.

She also helps out with applications. She helps with preparing students with how interviews work and teaching them how to use LinkedIn. Going to see a counselor can help people see the values in their decision to pursue a major and what they are capable of doing in the future of their lives.
