The Citrus College Board of Trustees will vote to appoint the next superintendent/president of the college at its Tuesday regular meeting. The board has requested authorization to appoint Greg Schulz, the meeting agenda said.
Schulz is currently president of Fullerton College and was among three finalists selected by the superintendent/president search committee. He participated in the finalist public forums on May 25.
“Dr. Schulz is known for being an enthusiastic student-centered president and active in the life of the campus,” the finalists webpage said. “He enjoys working with teams of faculty, managers and classified staff to help students thrive and reach their full potential.”
Santanu Bandyopadhyay and Brian Sanders were the two other finalists selected by the search committee.
Bandyopadhyay withdrew his application on May 30; one day before assuming the role of president of Modesto Junior College.
It is unknown if Sanders is still being considered for the role of superintendent/president.
After 13 years of service, current Superintendent/President Geraldine M. Perri announced her July retirement last December.
Perri is the seventh superintendent/president of Citrus College. The Board of Trustees will recognize her work at its Tuesday meeting.
