The Superintendent/President Search Committee at Citrus College is keeping information about candidates confidential until public forums are announced.
Neither the names or number of applications for the position of superintendent/president are being released “for confidentiality purposes,” Board of Trustees Clerk/Secretary Laura Bollinger said in an email interview.
Current Superintendent/President Geraldine M. Perri announced in December that she will retire in July. The Board of Trustees selected PPL Inc. as the search firm for finding the next superintendent/president on Jan. 19.
The Superintendent/President Search Committee consists of 17 people with representatives from the Citrus College Foundation, Alumni Association, Faculty Association, California School Employees Association, Supervisor/Confidential Group and Management Team, Bollinger said, as well as students and community members. Those 17 people have not been publicly identified.
The Search Committee is conducting first-level interviews between May 11-14, the Superintendent/President Search webpage said.
Board of Trustees Administrative Procedure 2431 says the committee will have no more than 10, and no fewer than five finalists selected by the end of first-level interviews.
“Once the search committee has selected finalists for the position, the names of the finalists will be made known, in conjunction with the scheduling of the public forums,” which are tentatively scheduled for May 25-26, Bollinger said.
The Superintendent/President Search webpage says final interviews are scheduled from May 27-28, which Bollinger said will take place in closed session on campus. She said she expects the next superintendent/president to be appointed at the Board of Trustees’ regular meeting on June 15.
Forums will be held virtually, but none have been announced. Bollinger said all information will be available online at www.citruscollege.edu/presidentialsearch.
