Citrus College will be remote/online through the 2021 spring semester and the physical campus will remain closed to the public.
Superintendent Geraldine Perri announced on social media that the campus would be closed and classes would remain online as L.A. County remains in the most restrictive tier of Governor Gavin Newsom’s plan for a safer economy.
Only essential personnel will be on campus for critical operational functions with prior approval and on a limited basis. Students and faculty in programs deemed essential by the county and state will return to campus.
“The college has implemented strict safety protocols to ensure the safety of personnel accessing the campus,” Perri said.
Perri said the COVID-19 Workgroup will continue to meet regularly to develop a plan for the campus reopening under “strict observance of safety precautions” when appropriate.
The Workgroup has a webpage with information on COVID-19 related items like updates, protocols, forms and MOUs. The page will be updated regularly.

“I know this is not how we envisioned our 2020-2021 academic year, but the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff and broader community remain our top priority,” Perri said.
“I thank you for your commitment to our students and to Citrus College, and for your continued flexibility during this unprecedented time.”
