Welcome to the fall 2020 semester!
Whether you are a new or a returning student at Citrus College, your decision to pursue a college education at this time is admirable.
While most of us will not be able to meet in person this semester due to state and county health guidelines, the Citrus College community is honored to be part of your educational journey, and we wish you every success as you pursue your academic, professional and personal goals.
The faculty and staff of Citrus College are committed to your success and we welcome the opportunity to support you. Your instructors, counselors and student support staff are willing and eager to connect with you.
For real-time, immediate assistance over Zoom, our new Virtual Welcome Center is available to help you add/drop courses, set up your email account and access Canvas, among other services. Drop-in hours are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. -11 a.m. Visit the Virtual Welcome Center webpage (www.citruscollege.edu/welcomecenter) for the Zoom link, meeting ID and phone number.
We can also assist you through counseling and tutoring appointments. Please take advantage of our library services, and access the student portal through the college’s online Owl Success Hub (www.citruscollege.edu/remotelearning). Additional academic and support services, including mental health and wellness resources, are available on the college’s COVID-19 webpage (www.citruscollege.edu/covid19).
Behind every resource is an individual committed to making your experience memorable and enjoyable. Soon, you will discover that a Citrus College education is defined by community. That’s true whether we are on campus or connecting through Zoom.
Thank you for letting us be a part of your academic journey. While this semester will be challenging, it will also be rewarding and (dare I say) fun! I am grateful for your flexibility and fortitude as we navigate these unique times together. On behalf of the Citrus Community College District Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, I hope you have an excellent semester!
Sincerely,
Geraldine M. Perri, Ph.D.
