Citrus College will continue remote instruction and student support services for the remainder of the spring semester, through June 12, President/Superintendent Geraldine M. Perri, Ph.D., said in an e-memo to all staff at 12:15 p.m. March 26

“Employees deemed essential personnel may be required to access the campus for critical operational functions on a limited basis with prior approval,” Perri said. “Further communication regarding the status of spring events, including commencement, will be sent under separate cover.”

Perri said she extends gratitude to the constituent group leaders for working with the President’s Cabinet and her to prepare the college to remain in a remote mode for the remainder of the spring semester.

Perri also said separate memos from members of the cabinet will soon be distributed with additional details that impact their areas and urges staff to read those documents.

“I realize that there are still many questions to be answered,” Perri said. “I again ask for your patience as we work through this situation together, and we will be in touch with any new information as it becomes available.”

Perri said the Student Services and Technology and Computer Services, TeCs, with support from the Citrus College Foundation, are actively working to support students who may have technology needs at this time.

Perri also said The Foundation also plans to launch a fundraiser to address the ongoing needs of students.

“During these unprecedented times of this worldwide pandemic, our goal remains to ensure the health and safety of our college and broader community while continuing to provide our students with an instructional program and support services,” Perri said.
