A ‘Citrus Alert’ sent out to students at 9:35 p.m. March 12 said Citrus College will cancel all classes, including classes with a lab.
All classes are cancelled from March 13 to March 17, a memo sent out to staff and faculty members of Citrus College by the Superintendent/President Dr. Geraldine M. Perri said.
Classes and labs are expected to resume in a face-to-face manner on April 6, subject to reassessment based on circumstances as they develop, the memo said.
Before the Citrus Alert was sent, a memo was sent out to staff and faculty members of Citrus College by Perri. The memo sent out to staff said there are no cases of COVID-19 at Citrus College.
After March 17, the remote education system will be enacted and all labs and lectures will be online.
“The campus will remain open only for support services,” said Martha McDonald, the vice president of student services, in a different memo.
Sports have been postponed for the rest of the spring semester as noted by the Citrus College sports website and Instagram.
As of 10:18 p.m. March 12, the library will maintain regular hours and continue operation as the library website and Instagram said.
The memo from Perri said Citrus College will remain open for faculty and staff.
