The extension of the Foothill Gold Line was a result of Measure M and Measure R as a way to transform public transportation throughout the San Gabriel Valley, and now to the Inland Empire. At the press conference on Oct. 4, Pomona Mayor Tim Sandoval said the extension will build the community, help the environment and achieve economic success; however, there is also concern of an increase of homelessness and the distress of tax-payer money. Despite the several arguments, the Gold Line is a huge step for southern California.
