In celebration of Black History Month, the ASCC and Student Life and Leadership Development hosted an event showing a free movie screening of “Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap” on Feb. 28 at the campus center.
Citrus College Night Shift played live music on Feb. 26 at the Campus Center Mall. The list of songs performed were focused on the African American culture.
“The performance was for black history month, yes. We chose songs that were performed by African American artists. We really wanted to celebrate the musical achievements of African Americans,” singer Dominique Dominguez said.
The Black Student Union President Justina Du’Brey watched the documentary that celebrates African American history and culture, while enjoying popcorn and candy.
